This is sitting down at the repo auction by me. I looked at it a few weeks ago. Seems pretty solid and the bidding seems light.

Thanks

Has some consignment stuff and clearance crap too.
Bidding stopped at 3100 with 10 hours to go. I might have to get in
Thanks!

Awesome thanks. Just got back from looking at it. Really nice shape and a red interior. Valve cover leak and nasty brake fluid.
Come home to bid on it and some body really wants it. Sitting at 5200 plus fees
I'm still tempted but I won't go to 6000

My brother has a truck just like this, used to be my dad’s since the early 1990s.
...i n pieces in the shed, waiting to get re-built.
Work truck spec (base grille, sealed headlights, no major options)
front air dam with fog lights.
single cab, short step-side bed.
2WD with low ride height.
All black with a red cloth interior.
all trim and rub strips deleted, and small sport mirrors.
305 TBI engine backed by a 4-speed, and a standard rear axle.
It is tempting to build a full-size alternative to the GMC Typhoon. A 5.3 Aluminum LS with a supercharger, 6-speed auto, limited slip rear end, and Borg-Warner full-time AWD, and a GMC/Caddy-spec interior upgrade.

It’s a keeper. This is very similar but an auto.
Sold for 8500

Sold for 8500. I think I need to get out of Michigan for a solid truck.
Thanks again

sorry... I meant to put 4-speed automatic gearbox... his isn’t a stick, either. If my brother doesn’t re- build it soon, I am going to take it and build it.
I have a cunning plan for a cool exoskeletal sport bar on the bed that won’t take up bed space, and will allow a tonneau cover.
I wish I had TV Car Show money, and could just put the body on an Art Morrison or RoadsterShop fabricated frame with IFS and IRS, and Corvette brakes and such... basically make it a sports/muscle car that looks like an 80's pickup truck.

Don’t we all.

Indeed. The other option I was toying around with... going all K5 Blazer or Dakota Convertible, with a removable hard-top, either just the cab, or the whole thing... but somehow keeping the narrowed, stepside bed.
